I offer tutoring in an array of areas:

I also offer help with Test Prep (SAT/ACT/GED/ISEE/HSPT), Study Skills, and Editing Assistance.

 

I am located in the Houston Area but have students nationwide thanks to Google Meet.

I am fun and patient and love watching the "a-ha" moment when it all clicks. :) Math doesn't have to be scary; you just have to approach it the right way.

 

I can help you/your son/your daughter troubleshoot difficult problems, understand the bigger picture, provide various solution methods to determine which individualized approach works best, improve study skills, and ensure confidence in mastery of the subject matter.

My statistics specialization is in survey methodology, and in addition to standard statistics topics, I can help with:

  • Sampling design (including complex sampling designs involving PSU's, statification, and clusters)

  • Survey development (questionairre design, question wording/order/flow, scales, etc.)

  • Well-researched methods to minimize bias

  • Results analysis (including using statistical software)

I am experienced in programming in SAS (base SAS and SAS Enterprise Guide) and ACL Analytics and can help you improve your coding skills.

 

I also can teach you basic and advanced Excel formulas to provide powerful tools to analyze data efficiently.

Although math is my main focus, I'm happy to help with general elementary and middle school studies in all subjects. I have experience tutoring science, social studies, and language arts.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

As an IB Diploma recipient myself, I personally am familiar with the unique challenges IB students face. I remember many sleepless nights in high school while completing internal and external assessments, recording CAS hours, working on my Extended Essay, and prepping for IB exams. I know the requirements and can ease the burden.

EDITING ASSISTANCE

I also am a professional editor. I possess an undergraduate degree in Journalism and have published articles in major national publications, including The Charlotte Observer and The Gainesville Sun. I also have experience in Public Relations and have edited books and journal articles for domestic and international audiences.
